Grammy Awards 2012 Best Dressed!

We are taking a minor pause from the Fashion Week coverage to note that the Sunday night Grammy Awards arrived once again. Although the evening was filled with many stars, the biggest star of all was missing, the beloved Whitney Houston. It was a sad weekend for many of the Whitney fans and fellow music colleagues who had lost such a musical powerhouse. It was a bittersweet evening filled with many emotions and recollections of a talent gone too soon. Still the red carpet had moments to share and remember. Just as a typical night at the Grammys there were the elegant, edgy and over the top outlandish. One Style at a Time has made a selection of it’s favorite Best Dressed! SAG Awards 2012, Picks for BEST DRESSED!

As you know by now, the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards were held last night as award season continues. Congratulations to all the big winners! It’s the road to the Oscars and the red carpet was nothing less than very eventful as well. The celebrities arrived early enough to walk the red carpet, speak to the media and pose for photos. The ladies were once again decked out in designer gowns from Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, Reem Acra, Calvin Klein and many more. The neutral and muted tones continued to be a strong trend. There was no absence of bright reds, black and grey tones. There was a difference of opinions as to what some of the best and worst dressed were but here at One Style at a Time we have made our selection of favorites.

Do you have any favorite looks from last night’s red carpet at the SAG Awards?

Golden Globes Best, Worst & So much more!!!

Welcome to the 2012 Golden Globes One Style at a Time Fashion Coverage!

The arrival of the red carpet was full of glitz, glamour and much fashion to review. Some of the strongest trends were fishtails hems, figure hugging gowns and high slits. The most obvious trends were in the color schemes. It seemed the red carpet was punctuated with many flesh tones and blushes. Also, there were some touches of jewel tones including rubies,  shades of blues and yellow.

However, the highlight of the night were the ladies that caused the most stir with their winning looks. These ladies stopped traffic and made well styled statements from their hair, accessories, makeup and their couture gowns.

Of course their were a few that had major misses as you will see below. Most of the men were showing a strong trend with the bow ties and  looked classic, elegant well put together for the event. Congratulations to all the winners! For a list of all the winners and categories you can visit: HPFA Official Site .

Let’s hear it for the Boys! Golden Globe Nominees.

The Golden Globes awards are just days away. Although all the buzz usually surrounds the Women’s fashion,  jewelry, hair and makeup…well this time we are spotlighting the MEN!

When was the last time a group of male nominees looked this good? Not only are the men handsome, well dressed but they are extremely talented. From young faces like Ryan Gosling to the tenured and classic George Clooney these men never cease to make the ladies swoon. It will also be interesting to see what these gentlemen will be wearing on the red carpet and if any of them will make the best dressed list. Find out on Sunday, January 15th which of these actors will win the Golden Globe for best Male Actor. One Style at a Time will bring you the best of the red carpet, so make sure to check back for our reviews and posts.

I leave you with this quote from everyone’s favorite fashionista, Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City.

“George Clooney is like a Chanel- suit, he’ll never go out of style”
