There were some classic looks and a few looks that echoed trends straight off the runway like the color red, black and white, touches of gold, nude/sheer and lace. If you watched the award show, you may agree Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were very entertaining and together made this Golden Globes show one of the best in years. So on to the Fashion! NYFW: Angel Sanchez Spring 2013 Collection

Last September it was a very exciting time for One Style at a Time. To have the great opportunity to attend and view Angel Sanchez 2013 Spring/Summer Collection. This Venezuelan charismatic and highly talented Fashion Designer presented a collection that brought elegance, vibrant colors and a great attention to detail. Angel Sanchez is known for his bridal collections, evening gowns and intricate design construction. The latter derives from his years as an architect before becoming a designer.

It was impressive to see him work the room with so much charm. He was all smiles as he spoke to the press and greeted all his guests and discussed his inspiration for this collection. On this occasion his inspiration was the work of a fellow Venezuelan, artist Rafael Barrios. Sanchez described the influence as, “A balance between precise lines and very geometric elements.” It was the perfect marriage of art meets fashion as the models wore gowns in organza fabric, details with embroideries and the right on trend, laser cutouts. This spring collection has all the elements of success and a sure fit for great red carpet moments. Celebrities that have walked the carpet in Sanchez pieces have been Eva Longoria, Taylor Swift, Brooke Shields and Sandra Bullock to name just a few.

2012 Cannes Film Festival BEST Dressed!

The 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival has once again arrived. This eleven day event has brought out many of Hollywood’s elite and with them of course comes plenty of glitz, glamour and Fashion to feast the eyes.

There was no shortage of elegance when it came to these extraordinary designs. The ladies commanded the red carpet with metallics, shimmer, an assortment of textures and fabric details. Basic blacks as well as golds and blushes were quite the staples. Dramatic fishtails continue to make strong statements as well.

One actress that repeatedly brought many amazing looks to the Cannes red carpet was Eva Longoria. Eva has been many times a best dressed favorite in the past, but at this Film Festival she has made quite an impression with her drop dead gorgeous gowns. She not only captured the photographers lens and created a frenzy but has been the most buzzed about. A couple of other favorites in past days have been Diane Krueger and Jessica Chastain. These ladies are known for taking risks and playing with Fashion forward looks in the past and proved once again that they are here to reign the carpet.

One Style at a Time has compiled and selected this year’s Cannes Film Festival BEST Dressed. Who were some of your favorites this year? Were there any trends that peaked your interest?

The Fashion Glamour Continues: Oscars After Party!

The Academy Awards was the main conversation by the water cooler Monday morning. Many fellow fashion bloggers posted their favorite Best Dressed picks and the front pages of the papers were Oscars galore. It was also a late night of partying for many of the A-Lister’s. Right after the conclusion of the awards show the nominees and winners went on to mingle at the traditional after parties. The Vanity Fair party is one of the most traditional post awards celebratory events where many designers, musicians and celebs mingled to the late hours. The Fashion continued to make headlines even at all the after parties. In some cases some of the gowns spotted were just as glamorous or even more stunning than the actual ones worn at the Oscars. Of course we chose our favorites here and needed to share this with our readers.
