October is not only the official month of fall and its fashion, but also  National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So today we combine both by telling you of a couple of ways you can combine shopping with a great cause. Back in February of 2016, designers presented so many trends together with some classic styles that we are all very familiar with. The color pink for autumn/winter was a big recurring color on the runway. That’s right, pastels and the color pink especially are no longer just fashionable for spring and summer. A polarized look that we saw was the use of romantic pale pink hues with dark black noir – think lace, ruffles and leather. Now if you’re looking to shop for a cause, then we recommend the Angela Roi Sunday Mini Pink (limited edition) handbag. This fabulous mini crossbody is selling for $165 and 50% of the sales…

Every season there are a few style details that may start on the runway but are trending all over the street style scene. This past summer it was the off the shoulder or cold shoulder trend that was quite popular with the ladies. At one point it was impossible not to see fashionistas showing off their shoulders with a 90s style choker. It’s no secret that the fall season brings with it some of the best fashion trends. What we are loving right now is the bell sleeve and what a statement it makes. Sure we’ve seen bell sleeves in the past and they can be very bohemian, but right now it’s making a big comeback and we like how chic and glamour it can make any look. From modern to classic with a twist, if done right, it makes leaves quite an impression. Who said a sleeve can’t be…

If you have been watching the news or reading any of the latest headlines lately, then it is safe to say you need a break from it all. It has been quite a whirlwind with the ongoing nasty political, pre-election day banter, Hollywood breakups (Adios Brangelina) and the devastating aftermath left behind by last week’s hurricane Matthew. It’s hard not to notice also that temperatures are already starting to take a nose dive as fall has arrived. So before we hit the end of daylight savings time on November 6th, now would be a great time to look for that one coat that will take you through some of the coldest days of winter. What would be the one coat to invest in this coming winter? An oldie but goodie, the puffer coat! Yep – the goose down functional favorite was seen all over the fashion runways courtesy of Stella McCartney, Balenciaga,…

Fall is by far one of the best seasons for fashion. The versatility, the textures, patterns and layers make for a season of cool, fun style. Back in February, we told you that designers had presented a mix of casual and also polished fall looks at NYFW . What we saw repeatedly on the runway were different versions of navy and military inspired jackets and peacoats. Sure navy wool double-breasted coats have been fall classics forever but who doesn’t like the resurgence of something we may already own. In fact, if you already own a peacoat maybe it’s time to update the look entirely and go for a military style cape. Did you see that one coming? The cape has been a favorite for many seasons now and we can bet our fashion dollar it’s going nowhere soon. The color navy was also a popular color on the runways everywhere. Some examples…

Hispanic Heritage Month kicked off on September 15th and it goes without saying that latinos have an impressive relationship with the world of fashion. Shall we begin the name dropping? Let’s start with fashion legends like Carolina Herrera, Isabel Toledo, Oscar de la Renta, Angel Sanchez, Francisco Costa, Narciso Rodriguez and Cristobal Balenciaga. These are just a few of the long list of big latino designers that are world re-known. They have set the bar pretty high for the newer generation of design talent. Even latin celebrity-turned-fashion designers like Thalia, Jennifer Lopez and Eva Mendes have found success diving into the fashion retail business. They currently sell their collections in stores like Macy’s, Kohls and New York & Company. Besides appealing to a mass market, they are also providing consumers quality and on-trend fashion at a fraction of a price. In the modeling world, Brazil has shined with names like Gisele,…
