There is great value in looking back in order to make the future brighter and better. As the final hours of 2015 have arrived it’s worth doing some retrospective thinking about what we have accomplished and what new goals we have for the new year. One Style at a Time had a very busy year and today seems like the perfect time to recap some of the blog’s highlights. From trend alerts, gift guides, the best of the red carpet and more, we bring you a full overview of what has kept the blog running in heels for twelve months!
2015 BLOG HIGHLIGHTS
New Blog Layout: Fresh Beginnings! We started the year in January with a new blog layout. The look is more minimalist and there were two goals in mind. To present a more polished, professional look and to allow the content to be the focal point with fewer distractions. Mission accomplished! The feedback has been quite positive and in favor of this layout. Change is always necessary as we move along with re-branding and keeping up with technology and its trends.
Trends and Style Forecast: 2015 was a year where One Style at a Time continued reporting fashion trends that were reflected on the runways and impacted retail. Some of the most visited posts included Spring’s polka dot trend, Spring Jumpsuits, Handbags for Spring/Summer, 70s Groove is Back and our latest Worst 2015 Fashion and Beauty Trends. Back in August, we forecasted what some of the hottest trends would be and it hit big numbers with our readers Fall 2015 Fall Trends Preview.
Product Reviews: In 2015 One Style at a Time partnered with companies such as Helen Ficalora, Robert Matthew, Slimsation and Bling Jewelry. We presented a total of five product reviews that were all very successful. We are always excited to bring our readers new, exciting and unique fashion products that bring quality and enhance your style.
Red Carpet Reviews: The always popular award season brought lots of buzz and we reported our top favorites. From the MET Gala, Golden Globes, Cannes Film Festival we had you covered during the live tweeting on Twitter and live Facebook Page coverage. We reviewed the fashion and told you who dominated the red carpet.
Fashion Events, Q&A and Appearances: So honored to continue to be invited and participate twice a year at New York Fashion Week. It’s one of the busiest times of the year for the blog and definitely the most exciting. We continued to bring you runway reviews of some of the most exclusive fashion shows showing in February and September in New York City. Also, this year we were so happy to publish our very first Q&A and introduce to our readers top talent and Fashion Designer, Blanquita Sullivan. 2015 was also the year that yours truly was invited back by the HuffPost Live as a fashion panelist guest not just once, but twice! First it was in conversation with Celebrity Stylist Brad Goreski and most recently in a segment that included Fashion Designer, Donna Karan discussing her most recent book, ‘My Journey’. Lastly, just earlier this month we covered a ‘Sip and Shop’ event by invitation only at the New York City Lanvin store.
So there it is fashionistas. Just some bullet point of a very productive and rewarding year. We hope you have enjoyed the content and we look forward to bringing you so much more in 2016. This could not be possible without the support of everyone who visits the blog, engages on Twitter, Instagram and the Facebook Page. We look forward to hearing from you always and would love to know what were some of your favorite posts this year. Thank you so very much for all the support and for helping to make 2015 one of the best yet!
Happy New Year 2016 and here’s to a new year full of fabulous style!
