PFW COUTURE F/W 2015: IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS

Paris is always a good idea, especially when you add the couture factor. Some of the top names in fashion today have put together exclusive haute couture collections for fall/winter 2015. Sure everyone’s still in summer mode, but on the runway it was all about the complexity of details and the exuberance that only high fashion can portray. Is it over the top beading, feathering, embellishments and hours beyond hours of manual work for many atelier workers? Absolutely! Fashion is a business so of course couture is a big muscle in the industry’s machine. By now stylists and top name celebrities have probably already snatched some of these gowns and are planning for their next big red carpet moments. It will be interesting to see if any of these make an appearance perhaps on Julianne Moore, Lupita Nyong’o, Naomi Watts or Emily Blunt. All afore mentioned were in attendance during this week’s couture week in Paris. Coincidence? Totally not. For those fashionistas at heart we leave you with some close up details from some favorites from Chanel, Schiaparelli, Versace and Ralph & Russo. For those that shrug their shoulders to couture, well why not take a moment and observe a magnified look at some of these designs. It may not be ready to wear, but on some level its reassuring to know that the craftsmanship and creative design element in fashion still exists in 2015. It certainly leaves room for discussion and inspiration.
