Marion Cotillard was terrific as Adriana in “Midnight in Paris” which I was finally able to see this past weekend. Not only is she a captivating French beauty on the big screen but a natural well rounded actress with much charisma.
She won the Oscar for best actress for playing Edith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose” in 2007 and is the second actress besides Sophia Loren, to win the coveted award by performing in a language other than English. You may also remember her from other films such as, “Public Enemies”, “Nine”, “Inception” and “Little White Lies” to just name a few. In 2009 she was chosen to be the face of the House of Dior for the “Lady Dior” Ad Campaign. Her striking features, feminine and demure disposition definitely remind me of the Old Hollywood beauties of the silver screen.
Look for Marion in “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012 next to Christopher Bale among other multiple projects.
On accepting the best actress Oscar for La Vie en Rose.
