NYFW FW16: LELA ROSE FROM DAY TO NIGHT COLLECTION

Lela Rose is always one of the much-anticipated ready to wear fashion shows during NYFW. This past week she presented her fall/winter 2016 show  at the Gallery at the Skylight Clarkson Square venue. She is well known for very romantic and feminine daytime dresses that include prints and A-line silhouettes. She’s from the south so she understands the embodiment of lady-like and a polished style. For this coming fall, Lela decided to switch things up a bit and although she did present dresses that will surely appeal to woman and her long list of celebrity clients, separates were now a part of this collection. She was inspired to work with texture and dimensions and wanted to present her version of ‘modern suiting’. Some of the pieces included bell sleeves, embroideries, touches of metallics and a soft palette that included an earthy green moss hue. What was also new? Well, the fact that for the first time three of these runway looks would be available immediately worldwide and directly from her website, LelaRose.com. Overall this collection kept in line with Rose’s design aesthetics but with some day to night options for the busy woman who appreciates high-quality fashion.

Her show was a full house and it included attendance by celebrities such as Skyler Samuels, Lorenza Izzo and Portia Doubleday (pictured below). All three of these ladies sat front row and were dressed in current looks by Lela Rose’s collections.
